The button is the thing to recognize. On the Super Loadboard, a load shows either a Book Now or a Request button depending on the load. Book Now books it instantly. Request sends an offer to the shipper for review.
Instant booking is not turned on for every load. It depends on the shipper, the load itself, and whether you qualify as a carrier. We will break down all three below. The short version: when everything lines up, you skip the wait and lock the load in yourself.
The reason it matters comes down to timing. The ability to instant book loads lets you compete on speed instead of waiting on a shipper’s reply. On a load everyone wants, one tap versus a pending request can be the difference between booking it and missing it.
Book Now vs. sending a request
The difference between Book Now and Request comes down to who has to say yes.
With Book Now, you say yes. The load is booked the second you tap it, no shipper approval needed, and it moves straight to your dashboard. With Request, the shipper says yes. You send an offer, and the shipper can accept it, decline it, or send a counter offer. You track all of that in your Offers tab.
Both get you loads. The difference is speed and certainty. A request can sit while the shipper decides, and a good load can get booked by someone else in the meantime. An instant booking is locked the moment you commit.

How it works, step by step
Here is what instant booking looks like from the driver’s seat.
- Open the Loadboard inside Carrier TMS. You will see the available loads.
- Narrow it down. Filter by location, vehicle count, pay range, and payment method to find loads that fit your truck and your lane. Load alerts can do this in the background, so new matches come to you instead of you refreshing the board.
- Look for Book Now. On loads you qualify for, you will see the Book Now button. Tap it and the load is booked. No offer, no waiting.
- Start planning. The load moves to your dashboard right away, so you can line up your pickup and delivery.
One thing to know first: your account has to be Verified to book loads through the open marketplace. If you are not verified yet, you will see a prompt to finish that before you can book. What makes a load instant-bookable: three checks
A load only offers Book Now when three things are true at once. Think of them as three gates. Miss any one and you will see Request instead.
The shipper has to allow it. Instant booking is a setting shippers control. Some shippers enable it across the marketplace for eligible Verified Carriers who meet the performance requirements. Others approve specific carriers they already trust to book their loads directly. If a shipper has done neither, the load is request-only.
The load itself has to be eligible. For the marketplace-wide path, the order must be posted with Instant Booking allowed. It also needs complete details, including pickup and delivery addresses and a valid delivery date. The pickup or delivery date cannot already have passed. A shipper can allow instant booking in general, but if a specific order is missing those pieces, that load will still show Request.
You have to qualify as a carrier. This is the part you control, and there are two ways to do it. That is next.
When all three line up, Book Now appears and the load is yours to lock in.
The two ways a carrier qualifies
Once the shipper and the order are set, it comes down to you. There are two paths, and they are not the same.
Path 1: Marketplace-wide eligibility
This is the open-marketplace path, for when a shipper turns on instant booking for eligible Verified Carriers who meet the performance requirements. To qualify, you need to be a Verified Carrier, which means your insurance, USDOT, and paperwork like your W-9 are on file and current. You also need a valid USDOT number registered with FMCSA.
On top of that, the marketplace looks at your track record. A few of the things that count:
- A history of completed deliveries on the platform
- Strong ratings from the shippers you have hauled for
- A low late-cancellation rate
- Enough time in business
Super Dispatch applies minimum thresholds within these categories, and those requirements may change, so check the current requirements page to confirm where you stand. The idea behind all of it is simple: the marketplace rewards carriers who show up, complete loads reliably, and do not cancel.
If a shipper sets a cargo insurance minimum, one more thing applies. Your cargo limit has to be above what that shipper requires.
Path 2: A shipper approves you directly
A shipper can approve a carrier for direct Instant Booking by setting the carrier’s status to Approved and enabling ‘Can Instantly Book’ in Shipper TMS. It rewards good relationships: haul well for a shipper, and they can put you on the fast track for their loads.
Why you can’t instant-book every load
If a load you want only shows Request, one of the three gates is not met. It usually comes down to one of these:
- The shipper has not turned on instant booking for that load, or has not approved you directly.
- The order is missing something, like a delivery date, or a date has already passed.
- You do not yet meet the carrier requirements for that shipper’s loads.
None of this means you cannot haul the load. You can still send a request the normal way and let the shipper accept it. It just means the one-tap option is off the table for that particular load. You cannot control the shipper’s settings or the order details, but you can improve the part on your side by getting verified and building a strong track record.
Your eligibility is not fixed, either. As you complete more loads, earn ratings, and keep your cancellations low, more Super Loadboard instant booking access tends to open up over time. If you believe you should qualify but still see Request across most loads, check your verification status and carrier profile first before you write off the load itself.
How to put yourself in position
You cannot control which shippers turn on instant booking. You can control whether you qualify. A few moves that help:
- Get and keep your Verified Carrier status. Keep your insurance, USDOT, and documents current so your status does not lapse.
- Keep your cargo coverage above shippers’ minimums. If your cargo limit is below what a shipper requires, their loads will not open up to you.
- Build a clean track record. Complete your loads, earn good ratings, and keep cancellations low. That is what the marketplace path weighs most.
- Use load alerts. Set alerts for your lanes so new loads reach you fast. When you are early, Book Now is a real edge.
- Earn direct approvals. Haul well for the shippers you like, and some may approve you to book their loads directly.
