Letter to our Employees from Bek Abduallyev

Super Dispatch Team,

It is with a great deal of excitement that I bring this news to you today. Matt Bradley will be the new CEO of Super Dispatch. There will be an all hands tomorrow where you will all have the opportunity to hear from Matt and I on our future…and ask any questions you have.

While Matt will be our next leader, you should know that I am not going away. I will continue to be deeply involved in pursuing our vision to make Auto Transport Easy for Carriers, Shippers, and Brokers. I will continue to work closely alongside Matt and many of you to keep building Super to be the leading platform for moving cars. I will continue to work closely with our customers and future prospects. I will continue to be standing alongside you as we navigate growth at Super. I still believe in the dream as much as I did when I started the company and I will not stop until we reach our full potential. I will do this as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. I will continue to be directly guiding the vision and strategy for Super Dispatch. Super Dispatch and the team at Super have been the most exciting professional adventure of my life, and I am thrilled to continue this journey with Matt as our next leader. I believe as you get to know Matt you will understand why.

Matt has formally been a Board Advisor to Super Dispatch for nearly a year now. Many of you in the company have already had an opportunity to work directly with Matt. In addition to advising the Board, Matt has been working closely with me as an advisor to help me navigate the path for continued growth. I am always seeking to put Super Dispatch in a position to achieve our mission with our exceptional team as we help thousands of people and their businesses while transforming an entire industry for the better.

Earlier this year, our Board of Directors and I decided to hire a President to be the operational partner to me to continue accelerating growth at Super Dispatch. As I was meeting many talented leaders during the search process I was always looking for qualities in that person to be the future CEO of Super Dispatch in 1-2 years time. I did this for two reasons. First, I believe a strong CEO for this stage of growth puts us in the best position for long term success. I care deeply for the successful outcome of our collective work rather than titles or prestige. Second, I wanted to take the 1-2 years of time to make sure this person is the right culture fit and the right leader to build on top of what we’ve worked so hard to create.

During the search process that kicked off in the spring, Matt was helping me screen candidates along with Tim Webster.  By then I had a chance to see how Matt operates because he began helping us with the GTM functions, Support, and Finance. I was sitting in many meetings with Matt and watched him work directly with our Sales, Marketing, Finance, and sometimes Product teams. I didn’t tell him this at the time but I was very impressed by how he operates. I began learning things from him that I would then implement in my other meetings with people to be more effective in my role. I started wishing that Matt was full-time on our team. So I began mentioning it to him. I recruited our board member Pat Matthews to gently nudge Matt to consider joining Super full time. We did this for a few months. Matt did not budge and wanted to remain an advisor. However, I noticed he was spending more and more time working with us and some teams directly to help with some of our challenges. Well beyond the 10 or so hours a month he planned on advising us.

As an advisor he went beyond advising and rolled up his sleeves to work directly on studying the data, understanding our business and our customers, and directly working with our teams on fixing problems. Matt began contributing ideas on how we can make Super better as a company, and how we can better serve our customers. In addition to sharing his ideas he would also work on implementing them. Not many advisors do that. Every day I grew to be a bigger fan of Matt Bradley. What impressed me the most about Matt are his core operating principles and how closely they align with our core values. The same sentiment grew in our board room as we got to know Matt better. We all wished he joined Super full time.

In an unexpected turn of events a couple of months ago, Matt began expressing a deeper interest in Super Dispatch, our team, our customers, our culture, our technology and the overall industry. He began to share his excitement about our progress and our potential ahead. We also openly discussed the challenges we face with slowing growth, opportunities and competitive challenges in our industry. This development was great news to me. I immediately began working more closely with Matt to figure out the right fit for us and for him. It is during this time we developed a strong conviction that Matt should be the CEO to lead and drive growth at Super.

Matt believes in this team. Matt wants to grow this team and build on top of the culture we’ve created. He is genuinely excited about this company and what we do for our customers. I know Matt is really looking forward to connecting with each of you to learn and share his ideas.

We bring Matt as a CEO to build on a strong foundation each of us worked hard to create:

  • We have an exceptional team.
  • We have a strong vision.
  • We are a well established positive brand in our industry.
  • We have thousands of customers who love what we do for them.
  • We continue to have a lot of growth potential.

I trust Matt to be the right leader for us and the right partner for me and our Board of Directors to tackle our new challenges – scaling a high-growth business and building new and innovative products…all while competing against well-capitalized competitors.

I know Matt is really looking forward to sharing his own ideas about what the future looks like for Super Dispatch. Please extend Matt the warmest of welcomes and demonstrate the very best of the Super Dispatch culture he has experienced so far. For more about Matt, get to know our new CEO here

I expect to see great things from all of us in the coming years.
