On-Demand Webinar: How Carriers Are Saving $200 on a Single Fill-Up with SuperCard

by

Recently, over 220 carriers joined Super Dispatch’s live SuperCard webinar to hear directly from CPO Dave Mendelson and Principal Product Manager Vin Yuldashev about how SuperCard is helping carriers access and build credit, save money at the pump, manage driver expenses at scale, and so much more. If you missed it, or want to revisit what was covered, the full recording is below.

Here’s a rundown of the key points from the session.

The reality carriers are living right now

Dave opened the webinar by addressing what everyone in the room already knows: running a carrier business is getting harder. Insurance is up 20–30% over the last three years. Driver wages are rising. Equipment costs aren’t going down. And fuel, which accounts for roughly 25% of total operating costs, is the most volatile of all of them.

Diesel can swing from $3.50 to $5.50 a gallon with little warning. The recent Iran conflict is the latest example of how fast that can happen. For smaller fleets especially, every spike hits the bottom line directly.

The key word Dave kept coming back to: controllable. You can’t negotiate your insurance premiums. The labor market is tight. But fuel is a lever, and that’s what the webinar was built around.

The visibility problem nobody talks about

Before introducing SuperCard, Vin walked through what he called the most underrated problem in carrier fuel management: you often have no idea what fuel is actually costing you per load.

Personal credit cards have no integration to your TMS. Legacy fleet cards sit in a separate system. Cash leaves no records. The damage shows up later, and by then you’re guessing at whether a load was actually profitable.

SuperCard was built to fix that.

What SuperCard is

SuperCard is a fleet fuel card built specifically for carriers and integrated directly into Super Dispatch. It’s powered by a partnership with A2B, one of the largest fuel card providers in the country, and backed by Mastercard, accepted at 30,000+ stations nationwide with automatic discounts at 4,200+ partner locations.

Average savings run 45 cents per gallon, with discounts up to $2/gallon at select stations. During the webinar, Vin shared a real transaction: a carrier pumped 173 gallons and saved $218, paying $780 instead of $1,000 at the pump.

The math scales fast. At an average savings of $0.42/gallon across 100,000 miles per truck annually, that’s roughly $7,000 per truck per year. Five trucks: $35,000. Fifty trucks: $350,000.

The fuel finder in action

One of the most-discussed features in the live demo was the route-based fuel finder, built directly into the Super Dispatch mobile app. Drivers can search nearby stations, filter by truck diesel, sort by price, and see real-time discounts before they pull in.

The “search along route” feature is where it gets especially useful for long-haul carriers, it surfaces the deepest discounts along a specific route, prioritizing stops close to the highway rather than miles off-route.

Vin demoed this live during the webinar.

Fleet controls and visibility

For fleet operators, SuperCard also addresses fraud and misuse, a real problem when drivers are fueling across multiple stops and locations. Features include per-transaction and weekly spending limits, category restrictions, card unlock verification, and telematics integration that can flag unusual activity like fueling beyond tank capacity.

All fuel transactions appear inside Super Dispatch alongside your loads, making it possible to see what a specific trip actually cost to run and making IFTA reporting significantly less painful.

Two card options

SuperCard comes in two forms:

The fleet credit card gives carriers a weekly line of credit, typically starting at $2,000, with payment due the following Monday via ACH. No interest if paid on time, and credit lines increase with usage and Super Dispatch load volume.

The pre-funded card is designed for newer carriers still building business credit. Load funds instantly, use them right away, with no holds on your debit account. Both cards report to Experian to help build business credit over time.

No fees, no minimums

Because of Super Dispatch’s partnership with A2B, all standard fees are waived, no setup fee, no monthly card fee, no per-transaction fees for fueling outside the discount network. The application doesn’t do a hard pull on personal credit, approval can happen the same day, and a virtual card is available immediately so you can start saving before the physical card arrives.
